Bad grades, Suck in Studying

Always getting bad grades? Do not understand what your teachers are teaching? Already tried your best but still having below average grades? YOU ARE STUPID!
Just kidding, you are just stupid at learning those subjects given to you at school.

There only 1 positive thing i can think of is...

You have a talent in somethings else other than getting good grades in school
You are more likely to be street smart than book smart. You are born to be someone bigger in life. Someone like steve jobs, bill gates, most drop out from school because they love something else other than school education. But watever i said above doesnt mean you need to drop out of school and dont need to work hard for your dreams.

Missed Opportunties / Chances

Based on my personal experience, i had missed many different opportunities in life. And i was really disappointed with myself. Since i was in primary /  elementary school, i always thought that these study trips are a waste of my parents money and a waste of my time, so i didnt try and go for them. Till i was in college / poly year 2 sem 2. I wise up and regret giving up all this once in a life time opportunities. So i sign up for a korea trip that was gonna happen this april. But i wasnt choosen to go. Mostly because my gpa wasnt as good as the other students who sign up. And because only 45 places and 150 students sign up. And next year, i will be having internship and final year project, so this was actually my last opportunity to go overseas with all my friends with the meals, traveling, accommodation settle by our teachers  So i was disappointed but never the less, still positive.

Its probably my fault for not studying hard in school and get a good gpa.
I stop blaming myself and think positive.

1) Keep thinking that you will have a second chance. (In my case, i still have that chance to get in, if a students decided not to go and drops out.)  And if that second chance really happen, make full use of it.

2) A missed opportunity could open another opportunity for you. (Example. The korea trip is 1week before internship. So the company that me and  my friend that wanted to join, have an interview on that week of the korea trip. If my friend have gone korea for that week and i have not. I might be selected by the company to join them and that will be an opportunity for me and a missed opportunity for my friend.)

3)  Create opportunities for yourself. Dont wait for opportunities, Make them!

When opportunity appear, Grab them. No opportunity will be the same as the others.
I leave u guys to some quotes...

UPDATE 10 Feb 2014
Its funny how life like to joke on us. Just few days ago,i was talking with a group of close friends about backpacking trips. Today morning, i told my dad that i wasnt choosen for school korea trip and decided to go with my group of friends instead and he said ok. In school, my teacher ask what my gpa was and after answer 2.5 , she said i might be in the very back of the waiting list. At that time, i already knew there wasnt anymore hope / chances. 30mins after school, 1 of the 3 teach in charge send me this.

It shows that life events are really unexpected. Stay positive and u might get what you want. I made a promise to myself when i registered for this trip. And since im so lucky and blessed with this opportunities, my promise was to donate $30 to a charity.

Quotes About Missed Chances / Opportunity

“There was another life that I might have had, but I am having this one.”
Kazuo Ishiguro

“Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That's part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads - at least that's where I imagine it - there's a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you'll live forever in your own private library.”
Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

“Moments, when lost, can't be found again. They're just gone.”
Jenny Han, The Summer I Turned Pretty

“Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss.”
Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay

“Don't fear death, fear the un-lived life
[Angus Tuck]”
Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting
